The kingdom of God is within You and You are Gifted

It's been a very interesting week as I find my way closer to God. As I sit back and reflect, I realize that everything I've been asking for is starting to manifest again. When we really look at our lives, especially for those of us mindful of the fact that we can ask and receive, it’s amazing to recognize that we're getting exactly what we asked for. Recently, I’ve found myself looking back and thinking, Oh my goodness, I’ve been praying for this for the last month, and now it’s here.

So, I want to share with you some really cool things. I want to share them from the most amazing space I’ve ever been in when it comes to my spirituality, and that is the church I attend: Christ Alive in Newton, North Carolina. It’s such a powerful, prayerful, soul-shifting church.

This past week, we talked about a program called Gifts, where we’re learning about the spiritual gifts we all possess. Everyone has spiritual gifts. You might have one, but I’ve come to realize that most people will have all the gifts at some point. It just depends on the time and the moment. For some people, all the gifts flow continuously depending on their lives, while for others, the gifts come when God calls. It was really cool to learn that there are two gifts everyone has. I’m only going to talk about one because it's the one we deep-dived into—the gift of prophecy.

As Pastor Mark explained, we often associate prophecy with pastors, but it goes much deeper than that. Prophecy is a gift given to anyone, and it even means lifting others up, speaking well over people’s lives. I love that because it’s something I’ve always done. A few weeks ago, I prayed, Lord, I know prophecy is in my life. I’ve prophesied over people, and they’ve told me that what I said came true. So, I prayed for more of that, to see more. Since then, my dreams have deepened. I’ve been dreaming, and the realization of those dreams in real life has been incredible. It’s been intense, but also really cool.

As I prayed on it, we began learning about prophecy, and I realized it’s a gift that God has given each one of us—the ability to speak life into those around us. It’s an amazing gift. I wanted to touch on this because it’s so important to remind people how special they are. We live in a world that tries to dumb us down, hurt us, belittle us, and make us think we are nothing. But we are so much more than that.

The next thing I want to talk about is the Vision Business Breakfast I attended today, Saturday, September 21. I listened to speakers discuss the idea that we are all meant to be kings. Not everyone is meant to be a priest, but many are meant to be kings. Kings are the ones who help bring structure into motion, go to war, bring heaven to earth, and help shift the lives of others—especially through business. I think that’s a beautiful way to look at things.

We all have skills or gifts that we can monetize for personal gain and for the benefit of others. As a business developer who helps people get their dreams off the ground—whether it’s through marketing, web development, tech, or events—I think it’s so important to remind others to chase their dreams. Don’t be afraid! Yes, you may fail. I’ve failed many times, and I’ve hurt people. But I’m always in redemption mode, and there are also times when I’m winning.

At the end of the day, I never give up. Deep down, I know there’s so much more I can do and give. I believe a massive breakthrough is coming—whether it's us, as a whole, realizing the system is failing and deciding to do something different, or it's the breakthrough of those who are spiritually gifted to do more for others. Quite frankly, I hope it’s a mixture of both.

So, I just wanted to remind you how special you are. You are a king. You have innate gifts waiting to be tapped into. Don’t be scared—chase after your dreams. We’re all rooting for you.
